South Dakota’s 2016 Legislative Session: Your Democracy

Welcome to Dakota Rural Action’s 2016 Legislative Session website! Check out our blog, listen to our podcast, sound off on Twitter – @DakotaRural – and join the conversation.

DAKOTA RURAL ACTION is a grassroots family agriculture and conservation group that organizes South Dakotans to protect our family farmers and ranchers, natural resources, and unique way of life. We strive to build grassroots leadership through community organizing by giving people a strong voice in decisions affecting their quality of life.

THIS WEBSITE is one of many tools we provide our membership to use in staying up to date on our legislative actions. Dakota Rural Action, through the financial support of our members, is fortunate to employ a lobbyist, Sabrina King. Sabrina will be sounding off from Pierre, as well as working to get the voices of South Dakotans heard both in Pierre and around the state.

Please visit us often for updates and to share your input. We want to hear from you, as a guest blogger, in the comments, or on our podcast. South Dakota’s legislature is here to work for you, and we are here to make sure your voice gets out, loud and clear.

For more information about Dakota Rural Action, visit our full website.

Also, consider donating to Dakota Rural Action. Our work in Pierre is funded 100% by members and South Dakotans, and it doesn’t come for free. Consider sponsoring our podcast or just plain donating: a donation of $50 will cover the cost of travel for one member to testify in Pierre. Your gifts are greatly appreciated.
